What I Personally Like About Commercial Properties

At 56, I find myself increasingly focused on my family and how to best fund our retirement.  To clarify my thoughts, I made a list of what I want and don’t want for the years ahead.

What I Don’t Like:

  • Watch my savings and superannuation decline over time.

  • My decision-making to be negatively influenced by seeing my funds decrease (e.g., questioning whether I should go on that holiday).

  • Stress about the stock market and feel compelled to check my investments daily.

  • Waste valuable time trading individual stocks to potentially improve my portfolio returns.

  • To be in a position where I may have to sell my family home to afford aged care.

What I Would Like:

I found commercial property aligns perfectly with these goals. It offers the potential for immediate cash flow and often has lower ongoing costs compared to other investments. The tax advantages are appealing, and the possibility of long-term appreciation while providing consistent income makes it an attractive option for securing my financial future. By investing in commercial property, I feel confident that I'm making a choice that not only benefits myself and my wife but also provides ongoing security for my kids and grandkids.
